How to Activate Social Fundraising with Instagram & Facebook on GivenGain

GivenGain now integrates with Meta’s social fundraising tools, so fundraisers can share campaigns directly on Instagram and Facebook.

This integration lets fundraisers share their GivenGain campaigns directly on Instagram and Facebook, making it easier to reach new donors. With a single tap, fundraisers can:

This guide walks you through how to enable Meta sharing for your nonprofit in just a few easy steps.

Step 1: Get Your Charity Approved for Meta Fundraising Tools

Before you can use the Meta sharing integration on GivenGain, your nonprofit must meet Meta’s eligibility requirements.

For Instagram, make sure your account is a professional account (Business or Creator), and that it is linked to your nonprofit’s Facebook Page. Once you have submitted the application, Meta will be in touch. Only once your charity has been approved by Meta can you move on to Step 2.

Step 2: Enable Meta Sharing on GivenGain

Once you’ve completed the Meta onboarding, it’s time to turn on the integration on your GivenGain account.

Once enabled, your fundraisers will see new sharing options directly on their campaign pages.

Pro Tip: Let Your Fundraisers Know

Your community won’t know about this new feature unless you tell them. Share a quick message via email or social media letting them know they can now share their fundraising campaigns directly to Instagram and Facebook, with a Donate button and real-time totals, and encourage them to try it in their next campaign.
