How fees work
The GivenGain contribution (5%)
GivenGain receives 5% of each donation. As a non-profit foundation, we put it towards operating and improving the platform, supporting charities, champions and events, and reinvest every surplus into helping charities raise more.
Payment processing
Payment providers charge separately for processing cards and digital payments. These charges are determined by the payment method, for example card, DAF, crypto or market.
Because most donors choose to cover these costs on behalf of the charity, charities receive around 97–98% of every donation on average, with a net effective fee of about 2.56%.
